I have seen video-game companies advertise to girls by overly promoting female gamers or the fact that females never lose to males in any form of media on the television, or when they have "we need more girls in gaming" events and understand that they do this because they want more profit.
Yet when people promote the above they will say that ignoring half of the human population is bad marketing thus over-cater to females, yet with advertisements like yoghurt ads they not only completely ignore the male audience, they portray men as either dumb bumbling background characters or as sexual objects for female desires.
