Fuck me right meme: i'm an asshole for saying hi on an internet dating service / fuck me right?

A Fuck me right post.

At the Friday pub quiz you announce you've been in bed by ten all week, drink two litres of water a day and have never once left a plate in the sink overnight. You wait for the sympathy. The table moves on to the music round. You answer every email within the hour, remember everyone's birthday and arrive five minutes early, then act astonished that nobody has built a statue yet. Meanwhile the colleague who never replies is flourishing. Someone tells you about the time he returned a library book a day early and was thanked with a nod. He says it as if it were a tragedy. Everyone nods back, the way you nod at a man describing his sourdough. At the family barbecue an uncle explains he has never been late to anything and is, he says, simply too reliable for this world. It's a heavy burden. He passes the burgers anyway. **Why it caught on:** the picture shows a curly-haired man in a black shirt laughing at a party, one hand held out as if the joke were obvious. People captioned it with a harmless, even admirable trait, then the sarcastic question "fuck me, right?", as if virtue were a punishment. It spread because it sends up the old "nice guys finish last" complaint, and the caption format takes ten seconds to write.
