Why it caught on: in Revenge of the Sith (2005) Anakin tells Obi-Wan on Mustafar "If you're not with me, then you're my enemy," and Obi-Wan answers "Only a Sith deals in absolutes" - which is, of course, an absolute. The sub has never once let it go, and quotes it at anyone who says "always", "never" or "everyone knows".
